I'm really excited to be able to have a Santa Cruz here today and actually work on it, because this is kind of a new segment of vehicle. It's based on a not really a truck chassis, but you still have benefits of having a bed. Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Hyundai Accent- Video

Hi there Hyundai owners. Today, on your 2017 Hyundai Accent, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's 1 1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. The cross tube is gonna be visible, but the whole entirety of the hitch is tucked up so far up underneath the bumper, unless you're really getting down on your knees, you're really not even gonna notice that it's there. The receiver tube is also tucked up pretty far underneath the bumper. It's a 1 1/4 by 1 1/4 inch receiver, so it's gonna be great for light duty applications. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Hyundai Tucson- Video

Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Curt trailer hitch receiver here on a 2021 Hyundai Tucson. Adding a trailer hitch to your Tucson is going to be an excellent option because it's going to make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now we can obviously use our trailer hitch for towing, but if we wanted to hit the trails or free up some space inside the vehicle for those long car trips we could certainly attach either a hitch mounted bike rack or hitch mounted cargo carrier. So in regards to towing, our trailer hitch here has a class three rating. That's going to provide us with a 3,500 pound gross trailer weight rating. Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the etrailer, trailer hitch receiver, here on a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe. So here's what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed now with the etrailer hitch something that they do that I really like it's going to be in regards to the finish. So our etrailer brand of pitches here, they use a matte finish and compared to some of the other glossier trailer hitch finish options such as those from Draw-Tite and Curt the matte does a little bit better job in my opinion of blending in with the vehicle. And it also does a little bit better job of helping hiding the nicks and scratches that a trailer hitch has on the underside of the vehicle. This trailer hitch is going to be a great option if you're needing to, let's say, add a bike rack or a cargo carrier just to free up that extra space in your vehicle. This would be a great choice for that. Also, it does have the capacity to tow a small trailer as well.So whenever you're adding accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, this can accept a tongue weight rating of up to 300 pounds, so that would mean the carrier or rack plus the load that it's going to be carrying. That's exactly what we're doing on our 2020 Hyundai Kona today. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT Class 1 trailer hitch receiver. Right off the bat, my first impression is I think the hitch is actually going to look pretty good. It's really not all that noticeable. The only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening here and since the rest of the hitch is up under the car, you're not going to have to worry about a big bar hanging down or anything like that, which it's always nice to be able to maintain more of a factory look.Now with these Konas, they're not huge cars so having a trailer hitch is going to allow you to use some accessories, that way you can help free up some space on the inside. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Hyundai Tucson- Video

Rob: How's it going, everybody Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class II Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2013 Hyundai Tucson. Now I like the way our hitch looks because the cross tube's going to be hidden behind the bumper, for the most part, and the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. It's not going to be this big bar hanging off the bottom of our Tucson, it really is pretty well hidden. Now it is a class II, so it is going to give us that 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube opening and be great for some bike racks or some of those smaller cargo carriers.The hitch is going to accept a standard 1/2" pin and clip. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. I like it, because it does have a hidden cross tube, so the only thing we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. We don't have a big bar hanging down taking away from the looks of our Tucson.Now it is a class two hitch, which means it is going to give us that inch and a quarter, by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, and it's going to be great for bike racks or small cargo carriers, or if you're going to be doing some light duty towing, but regardless of how you're going to be using your hitch, all the accessories are going to mount on the hitch pin hole here on the side. And the hitch is going to accept a standard half inch pen and clip. Now these aren't going to come with the hitch, but you can pick it up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure, or anti-rail devices to cut down on that annoying rattling sound we hear from the back of the receiver tube when we're driving.Now if you are going to be doing some towing, you need a spot to hook up your safety chains. more
